Davis the Soccer Man

Davis had such a fun time playing his first season of soccer. He's actually not too shabby. Here are a few pictures from his first game.

Kicking it off.

I love this picture. A little water break and encouragement from Dad.

He actually found a little aggression in himself and went after the ball. Good job big man!

Fun with Gran!

We had a great April visit, as always, with Wes's mom. She got here on an absolutely beautiful Spring day. Then, it RAINED everyday that she was here. So, we had to get creative on things to do with a roof over our heads. We are thankful that Gran takes the time to come see us each year. She left Maja in North Carolina this time. He was busy getting the new lake house ready for us to come in September. Thanks, Maja!!! Enjoy the pictures from our visit.

London & Gran being silly.

Gran is say, "Are you serious? You want me to do what?"
Yes, Londy was serious and Gran was a good sport. :)

London driving the gator at the fair grounds. I'm sure that we probably weren't supposed to be there, but it was a great place to ride bikes out of the rain.

Gran is about to go on a crazy ride!
Whooa! Watch out, two-year old driver.

London, listening to this man's heart, in his eye?
So, we wanted some pictures of the kids in this amazing field of Texas Bluebonnets. They braved the 50 degree drizzly weather and this was about as good as we could get. Oh well.
And tell me how anyone could see this and not believe in God?

And this is what you get after five days full of fun with Gran. I'm sure that we could get a glimpse of her couch in North Carolina and she was probably doing the exact same thing when she got home. :) It was so worth it!

It's a Star Wars Costume Party!

Davis requested a Star Wars costume party for his 5th birthday & we delivered. It was so much fun. I had to convince him that not everyone just has Star Wars stuff laying around. So, people would wear whatever costume they wanted. It was fun to see the kids all dressed up. Thanks for spoiling my Stormtrooper! Sorry, I didn't get a picture of everyone. I know now why people hire photographers for children's birthday parties. The mom just can't do it all!
Aunt Sadie sent Davis a stormtrooper costume for his birthday present. Perfect! Mere was a basketball player...and a good one at that. :)

Machines

Our little science lover makes a simple machine...no prompting...no assistance. It might be nerdy, but at least I know his brain is working.

Happy 5th Birthday, Davis!

We surprised Davis with a new bicycle on his actual birthday. He is now a cycling enthusiast!

Riding around like a pro. Check out the picture below...typical man...seeing how it works.

Soccer Practice

Davis decided, with a little help from us, to play soccer this Spring. These are some pics from his first practice. He did great!
First kick. I think he is so handsome in his soccer duds!!!
Coach Tim directing team Rams. I cracked up at this. He had told them to space themselves using their arms, but he never told them to put their arms down. Check out Davis and Joseph. Hey, at least they followed directions.
Aunt Sadie & Uncle Lee would be proud.
Such a supportive little sister!
